Security risk analysis is a basic requirement of ISO 17799 and is referenced throughout the standard. Various resources are available to assist with this.

The relationship between risk analysis and compliance with ISO 17799 is extremely close. It is therefore important to ensure that the methodology adopted is fully consistant with the demands of the standard.
